Aurora Aksnes was born on June 15th, 1996 in Stavanger and professionally referred to as Aurora occasionally stylized in the form of AURORA is a Norwegian singer and songwriter. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th of 2015 receiving rave reviews from musicians and music blogs and the press. The artist has already recorded two high-profile covers Half the World Away by Oasis. Oasis as a Christmas commercial by John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. It was further recognized through a tweet from Katy Perry where Perry endorsed the song Runaway. Celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories involve finding a piano hidden within her attic, then being captivated by the sounds that it made. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged her to learn music not to get an income or to pursue just a pastime, but to develop. To achieve this, she began writing music that was her own. She has cited renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan as inspirations, and also an affinity for Bjork's style. Her mother encouraged her to perform her songs in public, not so that she could become famous but rather make others aware of how significant the music they compose and what they can do for the world. Her first piano lessons began when she was six years old and started composed music by the age of nine. It wasn't until her 14th birthday that she told her parents. Aurora was not a goal. She claims she loves creating songs. According to her, music is one of the most efficient ways to express anything.
